How would I go about making super mario 64 work on a mac? A friend of mine wants to play it, but he has a mac.

Use Wine, PlayOnMac, or solith.

I used Wine before on my sister's computer just to host a server and it worked pretty well!
Wine and some of the other programs mentioned allow you to run or 'emulate' windows applications in a way.

Wine = Wine Is No Emulator.
Wine is just a compatibility layer, things like VirtualBox and VMWare are more like emulators, but still not exactly that.

If you don't know how to use these and are a total newbie towards this type of stuff, here's a pretty great and detailed tutorial:

You might have some problems with the .NET part, though, so when he gets around installing it (around 4:52) use dotnet46 instead of dotnet45
